• IEEE CAMAD 2011 workshop is sponsored by NPRG.
• NPRG alumnus Umang Chaudhari, graduate student Ioannis Papapanagiotou and Mike Devetsikiotis received the Best Paper Award in IEEE CAMAD 2010 for their paper "Flow Classification Using Clustering and Association Rule Mining" - December 2010
• Spreading the word of communications engineering in Africa. An initiative by Prof. Devetsikiotis and IEEE Communications Society Education Board, Cape Town, South Africa, in May 2010.
• Graduate student Vineet Kulkarni and Professor Mike Devetsikiotis received the Best Paper Award in IEEE GLOBECOM 2009 with the paper "Social Distance Aware Resource Allocation in Wireless Networks"- December 2009
