  • PhD student Islam Safak Bayram and Professor Mike Devetsikiotis received the Best Paper Award in IEEE SmartGridComm 2012 with the paper "Strategies for Competing Energy Stroage Technologies in DC Fast Charging Stations"- October 2012
  • NPRG is co-organizing The 1st IEEE Workshop on Electric Vehicle Networks for Smart Grid Applications (EVN-SGA 2013)

  • NPRG alumnus Umang Chaudhari, graduate student Ioannis Papapanagiotou and Mike Devetsikiotis received the Best Paper Award in IEEE CAMAD 2010 for their paper "Flow Classification Using Clustering and Association Rule Mining" - December 2010
  • Spreading the word of communications engineering in Africa. An initiative by Prof. Devetsikiotis and IEEE Communications Society Education Board, Cape Town, South Africa, in May 2010.
